What’s Fresh This Week

WHERE’S THE MILK??? If you’re looking for Battenkill Valley Dairy, you’ll find them inside Key Hall (across the Proctors Arcade), beginning this Sunday, December 23. While you’re in Key Hall, why not stop and visit the other vendors there – you’ll find prepared foods, wine, and local music!

Abbey Farms: Sweet Christmas Candy Cane coffee cakes filled with apricots and maraschino cherries – great for gifts; whole grain cinnamon raisin bread; no gluten honey corn bread muffins, no gluten maple syrup peanut butter cookies, oatmeal molasses bread, more.

Bella Terra Farm: Center Cut bone-in rack of pork – sale $3.50/lb (reg. $5/lb); beef short rib Osso Bucco – sale $4/lb (reg. $5/lb); Boneless pork loin roast $4.99/lb (reg. $5.99/lb); Rack of lamb $14/lb (reg. $24/lb). Herbal vinegar gift packs (great for hostess gifts), soaps, all natural moisturizers, lip balms (great teacher gifts).

Café NOLA: Catfish Etouffee: catfish coated with Cajun spices, pan-blackened and served in a pool of Etouffee sauce over dirty rice; NOLA’s homemade mac and cheese; dirty rice; fresh squeezed lemonades and fresh brewed tea.

Chick and Hen Baking Company: Greens-n-beans & seafood bisque; panini sandwiches, quiche, baked empanadas, spinach feta pie. Last-minute grab & go cookie bags, gingerman and shortbread cookies; grasshopper bars, and all of your other favorites. Happy Holidays!

Healing Path Massage: Jeanne Kitt and Wendell Harris will be available to offer chair massage on your sore muscles. Gift certificates for your holiday needs, too.

Mariaville Farm: Many delicious choices for your holiday meal – Black Angus filet mignon (wrap it in our no-nitrate bacon); porterhouse, rib eye or T-bone steaks; grassfed boneless leg of lamb, (only 2 left); smoked no-nitrate hams, pork tenderloin, and roasted rabbit.

Mariaville Mushroom Men: Fresh shiitake, oyster and Lion’s Mane mushrooms this weekend. If you can’t decide which is your favorite, then try a variety pack for your holiday dinner. This is the last chance to get a gift wrapped grow your own shiitake logs. Also, don’t forget to try a jar of our delicious marinated shiitake mushrooms – they make the perfect stocking stuffer.

Mosaics by Christine: Mirrors, tables, lazy Susans, chess sets and much more still available for that last minute holiday gift. Mosaic classes or gift certificates also available.

Naga Bakehouse: Wood-fired artisan breads include stuffed kale and garlic; blueberry ricotta; salt and caraway sticks; healthy pretzels and wood-fired crackers. Come find us downstairs and have a taste!

Our Daily Eats: Last chance to visit us for all your holiday gifting needs: nuts, seeds, and granola make great party gifts, stocking stuffers, and office presents. We offer individual bags, gift jars or gift boxes in an assortment of sizes/prices. Made with care in the Hudson Valley!

Painted Goat Farm: Ground goat and goat sausage. This is our last market until March, so please come early for cheese – we’ll have only a limited supply

Quincy Farm: Set yourself up for the holiday with our award-winning sweet potatoes and carrots! Recipes and cooking advice free for the taking! Also: two kinds of kale, three kinds of turnips, a variety of baby winter salad greens, Honey Bear squash (and sugar dumpling and butternut), plus onions, leeks, celeriac, and much, much more.

Saratoga Peanut Butter Company: Sale on holiday gift packs – this weekend only – $15.00 each (normally $18) All made fresh this week!

Sistahs: New cobbler aprons and hot new fabric patterns for holiday gift giving.

Smyth/Cid Pottery: Lots of mugs, teapots and bowls

Susie’s Climax Creations: Fresh holiday duck, turkey, chicken, guinea, quail and goose! We will have our variety of jelly jams and pickled items, including pickled quail eggs and marinated mushrooms.
