Schenectady Greenmarket vendors always have something new to offer. Tasty fruit tarts, succulent seasonal produce and savory snacks. Our vendors work hard to bring you the best – it’s all fresh and it’s all here at Schenectady Greenmarket.
What’s Fresh This Week
Barber’s Farm: A variety of produce this week including; melons, corn, potatoes, eggplant, hot and sweet peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, garlic, tomatoes and greens.
Mariaville Farm: Bacon: Hickory, chipotle, maple cinnamon, Irish, and Canadian; Fresh chicken, Black Angus steaks, pork chops, sausage, and pasture-raised lamb; Shiitake and oyster mushrooms.
Cafe NOLA: Grilled portabella mushroom sandwiches; blackened catfish or chicken sandwhiches topped with sweet peppers and mozzarella cheese; Iced tea, sweet tea, Arnold Palmers or fresh squeezed lemonade – raspberry, strawberry, or cherry.
Freddy’s Rockin’ Hummus: Try our new irresistible puttanesca hummus: a spin on the classic Italian sauce with mixed olives, sun dried tomatoes, a hint of heat and an array of spices.
The Peanut Principle: Introducing “bee-nut butter”; peanut butter and raw creamed local honey. Complete with propolis, enzymes and vitamins – great to help you combat summer allergies.
Mosaics by Christine: New tables, trivets and a new all glass chess set! Lots of colorful gift ideas for you and your friends.
Chick and Hen Baking Company: Watermelon Gazpacho, black and white bars, sesame chicken, and our other sweets & savories.
Abbey Farms: Turnovers made with fresh peach, apple, or wild Maine blueberry.
Funk Farms: Blueberry, peach, and peach-blackberry pies – made with fresh local produce and hand-rolled crusts. Refreshing lemonade cookies – a summery twist on our traditional black and white cookie line; cool mint grasshopper fudge cups.
