A Bit of News for the July 15 market:
- A Note About Eggs – Eggs will be scarce at the market the next couple of months. During hot dry spells chickens slow their laying and sometimes stop all together. Talk to your farmer to find out more.
- Harvest Update – Fruits and veggies normally harvested over a couple of months are peaking at the same time. Stop by the market now to pick up everything from some of the season’s bumper crop of berries to delicious sweet corn and everything in between. Consider putting some up for the winter months. It doesn’t have to be complicated – try frozen, dried or canned.
Shushan Valley Hydro: Cherry, beefsteak, and vine cluster tomatoes; plus our crunchy and sweet diva cucumbers – stop by for a sample. Asian cukes, basil, spicy arugula, mixed heads of lettuce – just $2. Cilantro, parsley, thyme, oregano, dill, mint, and more – insecticide and herbicide-free!
